In order to actualize the program "Foundation and pilot function of the Center of Training for Independent Living" funded by donation from the Institution Stavros Niarxos, PERPATO actualized a two-day event from Friday 12 to Saturday 13 October at Xenia hotel.
The first day the president of the association Mr. Taxildaris Alexandros talked about the ten years of operation of PERPATO. Our social worker Mrs. Vasiliki Hatzopoulou presented the events that were actualized.
On the second day, Mr. Taxildaris presented the Center of Training for Independent Living and after that the rest of the speakers talked about independence kai mobility problems.
Specifically the speakers were::
- Mrs. Georgia Fyka, President of the NGO "Alli Opsi", which presented their educational program.
- Mr.Kiakos Ioannis, Trainer at the NGO "Alli Opsi"
- Mr. Kalivas Vasilis, Professor of Adaptive Physical Education, Technical Advisor for the Greek Paralympic Comittee, who presented the issue " Paralympic Games, the contribution of sports in rehabilitation for mobility impairments.
- Mr. Mpakas Eleutherios, Physiatrist, Director of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of KAT hospital, who presented the issue " Rehabilitation of a patient with spinal cord injury. The Greek reality
- Mr. Kapatos Xristos, Representative from the rehabilitation center "Rehabline", who presented the role of prothetics for the rehabilitation for disabled people.
