In Komotini, two organizations with a shared vision for independent living and improving the daily quality of life for disabled individuals — System and G and the Association of People with Mobility Impairments and Friends PERPATO — are joining forces to implement something unprecedented in Greece.
Within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps program, the two organizations are developing a pioneering support model for disabled individuals, utilizing 3D printing technology to create personalized assistive devices that facilitate daily life.
Objects designed according to the needs of the beneficiaries themselves, in collaboration with the staff of PERPATO and System and G, are produced with 3D printers, providing practical solutions that enhance autonomy, independence, and the quality of life for disabled individuals.
This initiative is not just a technological innovation; it serves as a practical example of collaboration, social responsibility, and creative application of knowledge, aiming to improve daily life for as many people as possible.
Through the synergy and expertise of the two organizations, Komotini emerges as a reference point for applying technology to social issues, demonstrating that progress is achieved when innovation is combined with respect and active participation from all.
